A High School Team is considered "active" when there are 4 or more sailors who attend that school - these parameters are defined by the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA).

Olympia High School is currently our largest team. Capital is second. Tumwater, (new in 2016) has 4 sailors. We also have a number of sailors who are the only sailor from their High School. These sailors, practice and compete with the other sailors at all events except qualifying ones where eligibility rules prevent them from doing so. Sailors with 3 or less sailors from their High School are encouraged to recruit friends so their Team can become active.

6 sailors or more sailors are ideal, so that a Team can "Team Race" in addition to traditional Fleet Racing.
